Good morning
I have a 200Ah smart lithium battery and currently the mppt is keeping it at 100% SOC float, but over winter often does not supply sufficient power and in any case will not charge if below 5 degrees Celsius when the BMS stops via the smart battery protect on the charging circuit.
I intend to fully isolate it in the next couple of weeks from charge and supply circuits and simply leave in my unheated motor home (in the UK) not on shore power over winter.
I have a BMS 2 and Cerbo GX which will also be isolated, the battery is therefore effectively in the state it was when it was delivered in the box from the supplier when new.
Is this a safe and correct thing to do or should I bring it into the house over winter ?
Thanks
Ian
