Solved: Why no grid use?

Solved: The company was forgotten to check a box, believe it was called power assistant…

Hey,

The MultiPlus II GX 5000 is running fine, but when there is more load than the MultiPlus can handle it won’t use grid… (So, overload)
So, can anyone tell me where these settings are?

At the moment I’ve set: ESS, limit inverter power on 3000Watt…
But this safety factor should/can be handled by the MultiPlus.
Company which installed the system doesn’t seem to get what’s up, haha… So, hopefully you guys can help me to tell them, what’s down :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Edit 11:07h

3 fase grid connection
Fase 1:
MultiPlus II GX 5000
2x Pylontech US 5000C

Fase 2:
MultiPlus II GX 3000
1x Pylontech US 5000C

Please add some more info about your system and the settings.
Maybe add some screenshots.

Could possibly be the input current limit.
Set also on the GX (if over ruled by remote is enabled) under the inverter on device list.

But yes more information is needed here. Is the system continuously connected to grid?

Thx, but I don’t know what you would like to know/see…
:+1:t2:
These settings I’m not familiar with

Thx, this?
Looks okay, I think…

And in ESS menu is the battery set to discharge (min SOC% in case of grid faliure?)

What components do you have?
A screenshot from the VRM portal that shows the issue.

ofcourse, but I don’t see why that should be an issue

Extra:
When a 3000GX was installed the same happened and the install company changed some setting(s), but they can’t recall what…

Edit OP

But the overload is visible on the LED screen, no VRM report…

Thank you for adding more details to the original post.
You have two different inverters so (there must be two separate systems. which one is overloading? The 3kVa? Also 3000w is not 3000VA which is what the second unit is. Probably set that to 2400watts for the inverter limit.

Can you post a screen shot of what you mean by “why is there no grid use”

If the system is set to draw the battery down, the grid usage should be minimal.

The 5000, the 3000 is running as it should…

As I said, when there is to much power asked the MultiPlus should use grid, but it doesn’t…
When I set: ESS, limit inverter power on 3000Watt, it uses grid when above 3000W…

The 3000 is set right and, if needed, uses grid.
If I remember correctly it was something with, VEconfigure?

Run through the setup doc again for each system. It has all the settings needed to work.

Sadly no… At least didn’t found it.
The systems are working, only the above, which is working on the 3000 but not on the 5000…
Limit inverter power prevents the 5000 from overloading, but I’d rather have the MultiPlus doing it.
