Solar MPPT settings for 210AH Exide Gel Battery

Hi all,

I’m building up my off grid system in my caravan and have just purchased a big 210Ah Gel battery. Looking into the settings on the MPPT I don’t know where to start to make sure they are tuned to this battery. I was tempted to set to the Victron deep discharge gel settings although it’s an Exide battery.

Has anybody done this or can walk me through what the correct settings should be? I can’t find much detail on the battery itself.

MPPT is 75/15
Battery is ES2400 Exide G210 Marine Leisure Equipment GEL Battery 210Ah

I also have a shunt fitted and a cerbo GX.

The preset should be ok.
They both are gel technology.

Don’t forget to set battery type and capacity in smartshunt also. Else it will show wrong values.

On your shunt, set the charged voltage 0.2V below the absorption voltage in the MPPT.
