Solar MPPT and Multiplus Charging with Fogstar Gen 2

Afternoon, I hope someone can help me understand what is happening please.

I have a Victron Multiplus 2 and Victron MPPT. If the inverter is set to charge or off the battery shows “ESS #3BMS disabled charging” as soon as I switch to inverter the solar shows producing double, although not much at the moment. The battery is showing at 93% so I would expect any solar to be going into the battery or have I got this totally wrong?

The one showing solar 32w or solar is fluctuating upto about 50w at the moment, I dont understand why the BMS stops charging.

@Mark8par That is a question for fogstar to answer since the battery bms blocks charging, even disconncting comms will have no different outcome. (check battery limits in VRM) The 13.3V seems to be a pattern showing up in similar posts and internal bat temp may also have something to do with it. I am curious to know whether the V at the inverter terminals match that of the bms?

If im interpreting the screenshots correctly you are using an ESS config in a campervan? ESS is not recommended to be used in mobile applications

When not to use ESS

  • In off-grid systems, with or without a generator
  • In marine systems
  • In automotive systems
  • Inverter priority, also known as 'Intentional islanding“ or ‘Ignore AC’ input systems

As for the question itself, what does battery show under remote console then devices? Are there any alarms, or what does the details page show?
