ESS without BMS communication

Hello,

It happened to me on the victron multiplus system with ESS assistant and Grid Feed-in enabled,

that when the system have lost the BMS communication, it stopped all the MPPTS solar production, internal consumption from solar and stopped also Grid Feed-in,

It is completly wrong!

When I canceled ESS assistant, and setted up BMS values in DVCC….all the MPPTs returned back to solar production and internal consumption from solar (Grid Feed-in I dont know how to setup without ESS).

How is it possible that ESS is stopping completly MPPTs production, internal consumption from solar and grid feed-in?!!!

Can you issue/send me ESS assistant version where this is not happening? (or add the option that when the BMS communication is missing, that MPPTS will keep solar production for internal consumption and grid feed-in if enabled?)

Why? If the communication with the BMS is lost there is a problem with the system.

I don’t think you can do grid feed-in without ESS.

ESS has nothing to do with it, DVCC has no info from the battery and does this to prevent damage to the system.

Furthermore in DVCC settings - limit of max charging voltage is not working! When I set max amperage it is working, when I set max amperage to zero, the system stops to charge the batteries-lowers MPPTs solar production to be used only for internal consumption. There is no need to communicate with BMS to stop charging to batteries, when Miltiplus & MPPTs are sensing tha actual voltage, an other excuse for wrongly setup the system! Everybody speaking about batteries security, but the first one function - max charging voltage - completly ignored by victron, shame on you!
