ESS - Multiplus and MPPT not sync the charge mode

Hello everyone,

I have 1 multiplus-II (10000 VA) and 2 mppt (250-70) connected to a lynx distributor → lynx shunt → lynx power in that connects to a DIY battery.

I have ESS enabled and everything is connected to a cerbo gx.

My issue is that when the battery is almost full sometimes the MPPTs and the multiplus do not agree on the charge mode.

  • the multiplus starts doing absorption when the MPPTs are still on bulk
  • the multiplus starts floating and the MPPTs stay on absorption for hours
  • Somethimes I see 59v as charge current reported on victron connect, although the the shunt only reports 55,2v that is the voltage that I have configured

I don’t have the battery connected to the cerbo gx. It’s a DIY battery and I followed multiple communities that reported multiple issues due to bugs on the BMS software.

Steps that I have done already:

  • restart everything
  • reconfigure ESS and restart everything
  • Configure DVCC to share the voltage and limit current
