SOC slowly dropping

My boat has mostly been at the dock for the last few months, hooked up to shore power. The SOC on my house battery bank has slowly dropped from high 90ish% and is now at 88%. I thought there was a way to resync it to 100% but I cannot find the option in VRM anywhere.

Would appreciate instructions on how to do this properly.

The shunt will reset to 100% upon full charge assuming all settings are correct.

More importantly have you figured out why the SOC is dropping? Seems like that would be the first step.

I wouldn’t use the “Synchronize SOC to 100%” unless you are positive the batteries are actually 100%. You can set to a specific SOC or reset to zero. All can be done within the smartshunt settings and should be done with care.

The SOC slowly dropping is often a symptom of a charger being connected directly to the battery not the shunt so it is not counted, failure to sync properly or the charge efficiency factor is wrong. Here are a couple of links, the first is opposite to what you are seeing but it is useful reading. Also, post a screenshot of your shunt settings and battery type and we can check.
