I’ve got two 150/45 charge controllers connected to a 300AH battery bank with a 300A smart shunt. All are tied in to a RasPI (Cergo GX) using Victron cabling.
I’ve charged the batteries to 100% and synchronized the shunt to 100% and set the battery capacity to 300AH. As the day goes on, the shunt shows the batteries depleting based on the consumption and the SoC reflects this. As the night goes on, the SoC continues to go down as it should. Once the morning comes around and the charge controllers become active, the SoC jumps to 100% with taking only minimal solar energy in.
When searching)g the forum I made my searches a bit too specific. Loosening up my search criteria I did find some articles discussing some configurations that I should review.
It turns out the battery voltage setting on my shunt was set far below the charge current of the charge controllers. Understanding that once the shunt sees voltage above this threshold, the SoC is reset to 100%.
