So i had an existing mppt 30/100 controller with 2 200 watt panels and 2 100 ah lithium bats. All great. I added 2 more 200 watt panels and a second 30/100. Also added 2 165 ah lithium bats. All great. Then one day out of the blue charging stopped. The app always reads these values.
This is probably caused by Solar 1 having the wrong battery voltage, and shutting down charging on both (smart networking?).
This is probably a blown fuse or loose connection. Rectify this, then try again…
On it. Will report back.
So. The fuse is blown. Now. Next issue. 30 A fuse on 30 A controller makes sence. Now i have another 30 A controller. As long as i wpgrate the wire between my controllers and fuse panel can i put in a 50 amp fuse? There are other 50 A fuses on that buss bar so I think the bus can support it.
30A fuse is too low if the controller can output 30A continuously, 40A would ne best as long as all wiring and bus bars are large enough. Fuses should be at least 25% higher than max continuous current.
Wire upgraded, 40 A fuse installed. 39A straight into the batts. Thanks people. This is a lagit blog page. Oh…and thanks
