I have four Panels 2 are 120W/5.8 A 2 are 100 watt 5.8A.. What would be the best way to combine all four Series or Parallel or combo of both. Running a 100/30 controller.
Thanksfor the help.

As they are different power with same current they will have different voltages so care is required. Assuming 12V battery as you did not state this.
The simplest way is to connect all 4 in series as they all have the same current. However, you may get close to the 100V limit in cold conditions at Voc which would damage the controller. The best bet will be to make 2 parallel pairs of a 120W panel in series with a 100W panel. That way the 2 parallel pairs are matched.
Thanks much for the information; So all in series would give me close to 80V which is close to the max for the 100/30
So If I understand Run Both like panels in Parallel Where voltage remains the same but current combines to 18 or Amps . I’m a complete newbie to this :
Currently I’m running both 120W panels in a series configuration to a 12Vol life04 100AH battery. Would you run the two 100W panels in parallel If so how do you combine?
Thanks

BTW in testing the panels under full exposure. each produces 20V Give or take
Thanks
Yes about 20V in full sun whe producing, but the Voc, open circuit voltage will be higher especially ehen colder.
For a full answer you need to provide Vmp and Imp, maximum power voltage and current and Voc, Normally all listed on th label on the panel.
I will sketch the set up separately.
thanks so much; This looks doable. I’ll get the info off the panels later and forward t o you
VOC ? Thanks
I would recommend reading Wiring Unlimited if you are new to Solar/Battery Storage Systems. It can be a really helpful guide.
