I have a Cerbo GX (running v3.30) on a totally Victron system on our yacht. I use the Remote Console to monitor the system via the LAN on 192.168.0.100. Recently the access has become erratic: for days at a time there will be no problem, then I’ll lose access for several days.
I’ve tried rebooting the Cerbo, and the router to no effect.
Access via VRM is without problems…but inevitably slow.
If your console access is over wifi, then that is the most obvious cause.
You can ssh in and check the logs. At 34 ambient it might have an issue, which should be logged. Only speculating.
Furthermore, I’ve been looking at updating the firmware which I believe can be done via Settings > Firmware > Online updates…however under settings I see only ‘Network’ (see attached image).
Hi Simon,
You can update your devices via VRM by Selecting - Device List - Firmware Update. The system scans your attached devices and after the scan displays all devices with their current installed firmware versions as well as any updates which you can select and update. Hope this helps I manage multiple sites and find this method extremely good.
The system that this is about is EVANGELINE, right?
Is the Cerbo connected to the network using Wifi? Check the signal, reception should be at least 50% for a continuously reliable connection. (Wiring it up to the LAN network is a 100% solution for any wifi issue ofcourse, but not always easy).
