I’m trying to install the remote configuration tool program on Windows 11 (the official installation file is VECSetup_A.exe) and it’s not working.
When starting it says: “Error writing in common directory, please contact Victron energi if problem persists.” At the same time, on another computer (Windows 10 OS) everything is installed normally and the program opens. What can you recommend?
Check, that there is enough disk space on your drive, and try to run the setup as administrator (Hold shift key*, rightclick on the file → Run as Administrator)
*maybe not necessary, dunno if “Run as admin” is in the regular right click menu as well - I disabled that kids version of a right click menu
Thank you. You see, your advice is very simple and naive.
I installed as an administrator. Of course, the city is on the disc.
Moreover, the program was installed, but does not start - I wrote what is reported during startup.
On another computer (Windows 10) - there were no problems.
