Quattro won’t invert in 60hertz

Quattro inverter won’t invert in 60 Hz. Will pass through power and 60 Hz. Is there a setting for this?

Yes there is a setting.

The manual will explain about this.

To program a Quattro you will need either.

  1. A mk3 to USB interface and a mobile phone with USB port and the VictronConnect app.
  2. A mk3 to USB interface and a PC / laptop and the VE Configure program.
  3. The inverter connected to a GX device and the internet and VRM portal and a PC / laptop and the VE Configure program.

All information should be found on the Victron Energy page for Quattros.

Thanks for the response. I should have been more clear. I have a stand alone Quattro. I’ve programmed the unit using the mk3. I’ve also checked the dip switches. All are off. The unit will pass through the grid and generator at 60hz but will only send 50 hz while inverting. What should I check next?
Thanks again

All I can say is double check your settings that you do have 60Hz selected as the system frequency and that you do not have a grid code selected that is for a 50Hz country. If truly standalone, the grid code should be none.

Thanks again
Scratching my head here. As I said before when I’m on shore power I get 60hz. When I’m on the generator I get 60hz. It’s only when I go on the inverter (batteries ) is when I get 50hz Where is the grid code selection for the country?
Thanks again

Ok
Checked the frequency settings and it is set at 60 Hz. Check the grid code is set to none. I’m still getting 50 Hz while inverting. Thinking about resetting to factory settings and starting over. Any other suggestions?

Totally stumped now, that is so odd. When you connect to shorepower or generator it just matches the supply, when standalone it follows the settings. I have no idea if the dip switches could affect this, never used those. Reset settings then update firmware are options.

Thanks
I’ll try that this morning and will let you know.

Can you make some screenshots of your settings or add you config file?

And picture of the dipswitches can be useful as well.
Maybe the dipswitches are overriding the programming.
I never use the dipswitches myself.

Dip switch settings

Files are too large. I’ll try again

You can call if it’s easier. I’m on the boat right now.

The screenshots are very small, impossible to read.

Any chance you can read out the config with VEConfigure instead of VictronConnect ?

Yes. I’ve tried changing settings both ways. No luck

To ask an obvious question - how have you determined it’s inverting at 50Hz?

Via the Victron app and using a meter at a receptacle.

Great. Can you go to VEConfigure3 and “Print Settings” - and paste those here? What firmware version is your inverter/charter on?
