Quattro not inverting 12v to 230v

New quattro not inverting 12v to 230v
It’ll invert on shore power but when connected to just batteries it won’t turn on.
Batteries are at 13.4v so I know there’s power
Please help

Is the switch definitely set to on and nothing else is interfering with the switch like gx or remote switch?
Is there a fuse/disconnect between the batteries and inverter, is it ok?

Do you know how it is programmed? Maybe the restart voltage value is set higher than that.

We are going to need some more details about your system.

Yes the switch is on and works on shore power.
GX connected and is on
I’m getting 13.4v at the poles on the inverter
I’m using AC 2 in and out on the Quattro
AC is being passed through when on shore power but if only using DC the inverter isn’t kicking on just the green inverter light comes on.
System is 4 x 330 ah victron lifepo4
Cerbo gx
12/5000 quattro
Previously I had 2 12/2000 multiplus and was working fine. Swapped to Quattro and now the DC won’t pass through
When on shore power is charges the battery and can use AC power

AC-Out 2 turns off when inverting. Use AC-Out 1, and see the user manual - AC-Out 2 behavior is described on page 2.
AC 2

Thanks for this. So basically the only reason I am using ac2 in and out is so I can use the solar/wind priority because it doesn’t work on AC1
Is there any alternative to using ac2 and still he able to use on battery?

AC-In 2 is a different thing and different purpose than AC-Out 2. You can use AC-In 2 no problem, just put your loads on AC-Out 1.

Odd. I have all my loads on AC1.

You can program ac2 to be on when the shore power is off though. So it is still possible to use it.

The loads work in AC1 but not solar wind priority

You’re mixing ac in and out !

AC1 in is for generator, no solar/wind priority
AC2 in is for grid/shore, with solar wind priority

AC1 out is for loads that always need power
AC2 out is only powered when grid/shore is active

That is what i was thinking.

The only requirement for AC is mentioned in the manual is AC inputs specifically for a Quattro

Manual Excerpt

Generator support: The system will automatically detect that a generator is running and then charge at full power as usual. For Quattros, it requires the generator to be wired to the AC-in-1 input. In case of Multis with an external transfer switch wired in front of it, the GX device can be used to detect if the generator is active (with a digital input) and pass that information along to the Multi. When using a Digital Multi Control panel (DMC) and closing the generator select input terminals of the screw connector on the backside, the system will charge at full power also.

The outputs or load side, you are free to do what you like

Got it working. Thanks guys

How do I do this

You can program ac2 to be on when the shore power is off though. So it is still possible to use it

You use an assistant which is found using VEconfigure 3 under the assistants tag. Find the “programmable relay” assistant and just follow the programming sequence.
You will need one assistant to turn it on and another assistant to turn it off. The conditions for turning on and off are presented when programming the assistant…

Once you have used an assistant for this purpose, the default programming of the AC out2 relay no longer applies.
