We have two Quattro 24V/8000 kVa - 230V working in parallel connected to a Cerbo GX device all updated to latest Firmware( September 24). They are used on a boat that is not connected to Shore only fed occasionally via a Generator.
When we turn the Quattro OFF via the Cerbo to conserve energy, the Units completely shutdown and we have no way to wake them up unless we cycle the DC power.
To avoid this issue, we switched to “Charge only mode”, hoping this will at least keep the communication going and allow us to restart the unit remotely when required. No AC power input is available. The unit again appear to be offline completely while the 24V system is still active.
Is this normal behavior or Is there something wrong?
Something is wrong.
Does the GX remain powered up, just clarifying it is just a comms loss to the inverters?
“Charge Only” mode shuts the unit off when there is no AC input, and the unit cannot communicate while it is off.
What firmware are you running?
@lxonline
Running 510 currently on the Quattro / 3.41 on the Cerbo.
@Justin
Effectively this is what appear to be happening, but it is a bit surprising that while there is DC power, the whole unit is shutting down. What makes this issue more troublesome is the fact that the only way to wake-up the units is to cycle the DC power. I would have hoped for a “Sleep mode” if you whish to minimize the DC consumption.

If the physical state of the inverter switch is in the on position, then the GX should be able to turn it on/off or charger only without issues.
@lxonline
Yes the physical switch is in the ON position on both units. The switch “OFF” and the “Charge Only” selection are done via the GX device.
This is the portion I do not understand and my memory tells me that in the past on other boats I do not remember having that issue. This is why I am questioning it in this forum.
