I am having an issue on a new install of a Quattro, Cerbo GX and touch GX 70 in a 24V motorhome. I cannot turn the inverter on/off using the touch GX. I feel like i am missing a setting in the setup. If i unplug the VE bus cable from the Quattro i can use the Quattro manually with the switch on the front. When i plug the VE bus cable in from the Cerbo the inverter wont work at all. I can see the Quattro connected to the Cerbo when the VE bus is connected. If i manually turn the Quattro on and turn plug the VE bus cable in the inverter works and i can turn the Quattro off using the Touch GX but i cannot turn the Quattro on at any stage using the Touch GX.
I have configured the Quattro using the MK3 adaptor and VE configure. In the Touch GX the quattro shows the State as Unknown and is always grey. I have DC power and can get the inverter to work correctly if used in manual mode, Just not through the screen and Cerbo.
The customer is 4 hours away from me and i can remote into his computer to change any settings as required. As it is my first install i feel like i am missing something simple. I will attach the diagram to show how i have connected the system for reference. I have tried a generic CAT 6E cable to replace the VE bus cable but i got no communication with that, The remote loop is still in the Left and middle slot as well as per delivery and the manual.
No the MK3 is not currently connected. I can get it connected though. I only have 1 VE bus cable so it gets disconnected from the Cerbo when i attach the MK3.
The physical switch on the Quattro must be in the ON position to control on/off/invert/charge mode from the GX device. If the switch on the Quattro is OFF then it can’ not be turned on from the GX device.
And only the MK3 adaptor OR the GX device can be connected to the Quattro, not both at the same time.
The VEBus should NOT be terminated. The terminations that came with the Cerbo are for the VE.Can connections.
Yes the physical switch on the Quattro is on. When the VE bus is connected the Quattro wont turn on at all.
Yes only the MK3 or cerbo is connected at different times separately, they are never connected together as i only have 1 ethernet cable.
The VE bus is connected by a victron pre terminated RJ45 cable. I did try an off the shelf Cat6E cable but got no communication at all. With the Victron cable i can see the Quattro when connected to the Cerbo. I just cant get the remote working
