PV inverter is shown on AC_Out, instead on AC_Input 1, as configured. No external meter installed.
It is correct on remote console but not on VRM.
Any thoughts are welcome.

Without external meter you can’t have PV on the AC input.

After a new reading of ESS instructions and re-view the logic, this is my conclusion as well.
This small system, Dyness 14kW battery and Multiplus II GX 5000, is used solely as a UPS.
I was hoping to not need a Smartmeter as install position is quite far, but still benefit of installed Fronius PV. Ethernet is also not easily available in the main power distribution area.
From your experience, do I have other option other than:
- drop the ESS and have a “dumb“ UPS system, PV unaware ?
- or
- do the reasonable it takes for a Smartmeter install ?
