Position of AC loads and inputs in VRM for a Multiplus II GX

I am seeing the AC loads and pvinverter sources in the wrong place in the VRM display and in the local GUI.
The configuration uses the ESS assistant.
I all AC loads and the PVInveter on the AC Into the Mulitplus-II. AC Out (1&2) on the Multiplus-II is not connected. I have a CT clamp on the grid feed connected to the Multiplus which works perfectly when I select an Internal grid feed sensor. I also have a Energy Meter on the grid feed which also works fine when I select and External meter in ESS. Switching between external and internal grid feed sensors does not change the layout.

In Decivices-> pvinverter → setup the Position is AC Input 1

On the local display the AC loads are shown on AC Out, not AC in. The PV Inverter is correctly feeding into the MultiPlus, but the power that is going to the battery is reported as going to AC Out. eg Solar generating 1300W, battery charging at 1000W, AC Loads taking 300W, but showing as taking 1300W.

On the VRM Display the AC Loads and PVInverter are both on the AC Out of the inverter.

Do I need to find the Position Settings for each device and set them correctly or is there some other trick?

The Energy Meter and PV Inverter are connected over modbus rtu, so I can, if necessary, change the code that is writing to the dbus.

The screenshots below were taken at different times hence the difference in solar generation power.

Setting the Pv inverter Position in Device-> → setup → position to “AC Output”, has fixed the numbers being displayed, but the AC-Loads and the Inverter are still displayed on the wrong side of the inverter as if it was between the house and the grid.

I have not yet been able to find something that fixes the connections by playing option bingo with the settings… Also, the inverter is not connected to the MultiPlus output.

Fixed, in the VRM at least, byt making sure that the /Position value is 0 on all the devices, and removing the connection to the CT clamp completely. Not sure if that makes any difference.
The v2 GUI still has the PV inverter showing up on AC In 2 which doesn’t have a connector on the board
