I would like to build an off-grid PV system using the following equipment:
- 9 × 500 W modules
- 1 Victron 250/85 charge controller
- 1 MultiPlus II 48/5000
- 4 Pylontech 48 V/50 Ah batteries
Regarding the protection devices, I am considering installing the following:
For the charge controller, on the battery side: 1 two-pole 22 × 58 cylindrical fuse holder fitted with two 100 A fuses
For the batteries (with doubled Pylontech cables), 2 NH000 knife disconnectors with 80 A or 100 A fuses — please let me know which would be better
For the MultiPlus 5000, 1 NH1 knife disconnector with 160 A fuses (although Victron recommends 200 A)
Thank you for giving me your opinion on this choice of protection devices, which is also influenced by budget considerations.
