Password lost

My settings are locked. Don’t know the password, tried Password Lost several times and I never receive a reset password via an email.

Now the password lost function doesn’t work at all, sends me to instructions.

Please help

Have you reached out to your Airstream dealer? That serial was originally provided by them, so -especially if they installed the system and programmed it- they’re likely the ones who set the password.

Justin thanks. I have contacted Airstream, the tech say they don’t change the PW, only use 000000. I’m the second owner, have no way to contact them.

I’m guilty of locking the app and checking the box. I’ve tried the PUK code, no luck.

I’ve selected passwords lost, never got a reset PW email from Victron to reset.

The app doesn’t require signing in, so I don’t know if Victron knows my rv is full of Victron equipment. And no way to talk to a person at Victron.

I just want to reset the PW and make simple adjustment to the smartshunt device.

The app shows the SOC of the lithium batteries on my rv..I didn’t dry camp, so if my batteries are 13+ volts and hold 13+ volts for days/weeks while connected to shore power the SOC is not important. But, I’d like to fix the problem I made and use VictronConnect like it is designed for.

I’m not sure what the “email” bit is - VictronConnect doesn’t use emails. Are you sure you’re on the “Local” tab rather than the “VRM” tab of VictronConnect? The app itself doesn’t lock, it’s only the settings of a particular device that lock; even then, it’s only the settings that are locked, it doesn’t prevent you from logging into the device to view things.

Are you talking about the device settings lock, or the device’s bluetooth PIN?

If the settings lock, and you can get into the unit with its PIN, then: 12. Settings Lock
But there’s no emails involved there.

If the bluetooth PIN is the problem, then: 3. Connecting

But there are also no emails involved in that.

I suspect you may be trying to go through the VRM tab of VictronConnect, which is the only place I’m aware of that a login/email verification would be involved - in which case, click “Local” at the top of VictronConnect rather than “VRM”.

If none of that works, try posting a screenshot of what you’re seeing so we can be sure we’re both talking about the same things!

Like most app, or programs, you get a tab to change your password, by sending your email address and, bingo, you get a page to change it .

I haven’t set any up on the VRM tab. So I don’t know what I’m messing up.

I have NEVER had one reject the PUK code for resetting the password.

Thanks I finally got it unlocked. The PUK was a but fuzzy, a B and 8 looked similar. Thanks for your help.
