Our Grand Design Reflection 260RD Victron System (in progress)

A few images of our upgrade in process on our 2022 Grand Design Reflection 260RD 5th wheel. Unit came factory equipped with 165 watt Furrion solar panel and controller, 12V L/A battery.

I removed factory solar components and 12V L/A battery. In their place we have so far added a pair of LiTime 270Ah LiFePO4 batteries and (4) four Renogy 200W ShadowFlux solar panels (2S2P, using factory 2 wire gland and wiring).

For system control, I have added a Victron Cerbo GX, SmartSolar MPPT 100/50, SmartShunt 500, and modified Linx. Also added a 10" Android tablet running VRM (local to equipment on WiFi).

Already seeing improved results and looking forward to adding more battery storage, along with 2-4 more panels (will need to add another gland with wiring harness) and another MPPT 100/50.

Future upgrade will be to wire for and install a Victron Multi-Plus 3000A. One question for group, as I see a lot of suggestions on other builds to move over from 12V to 48V. With our rig having a Furrion 12V side x side fridge (specs: 165 watt/Rated Current 19A (≤ 20A) Power Consumption 667kWh/year Off-Grid Rating 5.3Ah @ 77°F (25°C) and other 12V lighting/etc. loads, what would I have to install to allow for system to operate with 48V storage platform?

Looking forward to reviewing others builds and already finding forum very helpful and informative.

Sincerely,

David

How do you like the LiTime batteries so far? Currently working a build on my motorhome, mostly for the residential fridge, LOL.

Not having any performance issues with the LiTime batteries. Working on I am guessing around year two+. The pair of 230 Ah along with solar keeps things like the 12V Furrion fridge and accessories functional.

Sincerely,

David

Nice, looks like it will work well for you.

Considering the vast majority of you rig is 12V I would stick with 12V battery bank. The necessary converter to get from 48V to 12V is a perpetual loss of power and another component with multiple potential failure points. Keep it simple.

(edited). Just noticed this original post was from July. It came up as new because of your recent reply. Sorry if the info is irrelevant at this point.
