Class A RV upgrade to Solar system to charge LiFePO4 12v 4 batts in parallel on a 20 yr old system

I am looking to upgrade/design a system that will employ 4each 12v 100amp/Hr LiFePO4 batteries and 4 100 watt solar rigid panels (to replace old deteriorated panel). I am pretty knowledgeable about solar systems but not about LiFePO4 batteries or running them in parallel so that I can continue to use existing inverter & possibly the master power control center. I am behind the times regarding current technology and capabilities. (As the RV is new to me, I am not yet sure that it is realistic and might need to upgrade the master control center too). I believe the existing control center automatically changes between ground power, generator, solar and vehicle alternator. Any information/resources is appreciated.

Hi,

why 4x 100Ah, why not 1x300ah with a 300a built-in bms ?

Imho you can keep your existing installation at a loss of some Ah, but these can be topped up with a new solarregulator with lithium specs.

So, take a victron mppt and install a victron smartshunt to keep track of your batteries.

4 12.8 100Ah batteries because I have 5 of them in a matched set but only have room for four.

How do things change if I employ 8 100 watt, 12 volt panels?
