I currently charge the AGM start battery on my sailboat from the LiFePo4 house bank using an Orion TR smart charger. I am considering upgrading to the Orion XS to get the temperature compensation feature. What I am not clear about is if the Orion XS can use a remote temperature sensor. The AGM battery and Orion Charger are in different lockers and the temperature can vary quite a bit so to make the upgrade worth while it is important that the temperature be measured in the battery locker. - thanks - Tim
A wired temperature sensor can not be fitted. You can fit a Bluetooth Smart Battery Sense on the battery and network that to the Orion. See manual link below. This may not work if the bulkheads / lockers are steel.
