Does the Orion XS DC-DC charger support 0v charging? I want to make a first time connection on a new installation with a new (unused) LiFePo4 battery that has been sitting for 10 months. Thanks
I am not sure, but you could set it to power supply mode with a low current limit at a safe voltage like 10A, 12.5V to try and wake the battery up and go from there.
Hi Rob, as far as I know the Orion needs to sense at least some volts. i will check on my bench unit. More concerning though is the fact that your LifePO4 battery is at 0V, is it just in a sleep state or are the cells actually drained? If they are drained past 2V they are usually ireperably damaged due to the anodes being physically eaten inside the cells.
