Orion XS 12/12-50A Keeps falling out of function. It will drop out of the connect app, and not charge. I then have to isolate the XS from all power and thereby reset it. It will then stop functioning again after a random number of days.
This system was professionally installed by my camper dealer with extensive experience with victron. Firmware is v 1.06. This has been going on for weeks, almost since delivery of camper in December. Dealer has been in touch with victron and his supplier as well, battleborn battery. This is also occurring in the dealers personal setup, but with less frequency. Dealer is being told this is a known issue, and to await firmware update. Looking on these forums, I am not seeing a widespread issue, there was supposed to be a firmware update to 1.08, but it is not showing in connect app. Really frustrating to have to keep manually resetting the XS, and not be able to get battery up to ful” charge. Wondering wha is going on, and if there is a fix in the works, or is this simply a hardware issue.
Wiring is not the issue. XS works, and charges just fine. When it is working, it shows up in victron connect and shows normal status. Randomly, it drops out of victron connect, and is not charging. Since it is not communicating via blue tooth, there is no status to see. Isolating from the system to remove alll power resets the. XS and it begins functioning again, charging and showing normal status. What I am asking is if there is a known issue with these units.
I am having the same issue. I even updated to 1.08 and it still didn’t fix it. Mine is being controlled by me the BMS and I assumed it was the BMS malfunctioning but then when I disabled DVCC and rebooted the VE Bus it still didn’t work. Any other updates on this problem?
I have same issue, need to disconnect it from starter battery and leisure battery and then reconnect to get it going again
I have the Orion XS 12-12/50 in my RV, used to charge a small, isolated LiFePO4 battery on the tongue from the 48 volt LiFePO4 battery. Previously, it was charging a much larger lead acid battery on the tongue.
I’ve not seen my XS drop out of the system. I do have it connected to the Cerbo GX by VE.Direct.
