I have an Orion XS 12V-12V 50A unit installed in my campervan. Due to illness I couldn’t regularly start and drive the van for a couple of months. Both batteries appear dead, the main battery will be replaced but can I disconnect the second battery as I can’t afford to replace it yet.
Why not just disconnect each side from their respective batteries? The Orion’s standby current is minuscule, but still no reason to have it powered at all until the target battery is back online.
I will have a look at the wiring diagrams tomorrow, excellent idea, I never thought of that.
