Old android device as permanent vrm monitor

I try to set up a samsung phone with android 8 as a vrm permanent monitor while monitoring is held by rasberry pi and the idea is to be able to download vrm portal or victronconnect app but it seems that victron has updated everything and is more demanding than android 8 can deal with.

So I receive errors even trying with lite browsers and alternative google pley store….

Any advice is most welcome!

Hi you could take a look at this function, but might also not work on your phone

I used to run it on an early Android tablet using earlier version of vrm
