does anybody use the ANDROID widget (not the VRM one) for Victron Connect? Goal = use a standard tablet (like my Samsung one, for plenty of other usefull stuffs) as a wireless Ekrano.
Documentation here: 14. Android widgets
On my tablet and phone I got a message when dragging the widget template to the screen: “Select a device Device not found”. (screenshot included)
And that’s it, except that Victron Connect shows 1 local (Cerbo GX) and 2 distant VRM installations.
Tried with v6.31 and 6.32 (last update, today), but nothing.
Did/does it work for you? What’s my pbl then?
Exactly same story here. It was working some time ago but not anymore. What is more - i have never managed to make my widget looking as nice as those shown on Victron page - showing bar graphs etc. Just a simple numbers, no graphs were available…
I currently only have a Smart BatteryProtect for testing.
First I got the same empty screen, then I started VC normally to check if I can see the BatteryProtect there, after that I tried again to add a widget and this time the BP was shown in the list.
So maybe you have to start VC first to scan for devices?
@Bogi I guess the widgets you see are from the VRM app not VictronConnect.
