Non Victron NMEA 2000 data into signal k

I am trying to figure out what I need to do to get other non Victron data into signalk server running on the Cerbo. Not sure what can address to use or how to find it. Suggestions welcome. I see Cerbo data on chart plotters so I know bus communications are working.

You aren’t giving us much to go on here, so probably you already know some of this. Firstly, you need to mention what you are trying to achieve as maybe Signal-K isn’t the answer. For example, some GX devices provide access and bridging support for a second CANBUS network after the VE.CAN. Without using Signal-K you can automatically use this data such as with DVCC if your device(s) support it. You can also access the data in Node-RED without using Signal-K at all. However, if you have some other special application that requires Signal-K, it would be helpful to know what you are trying to achieve and what your configuration idea might be. Do you already have a Signal-K server set up? Is it the one in the Large VenusOS installation? If you already know all this and you have the physical network established and a Signal-K server set up, it’s just a matter of configuring Signal-K. Maybe that’s what you are asking?

Sorry. I will try to add more data. I am using Large VenusOS. I have the signalk server up and running, but I don’t think I am fully configured yet.

This application is on a boat with a NMEA2000 data bus (can bus). The Cerbo is connected to the NMEA2000 but via the VE Can port on the Cerbo and Victrons adapter cable to the bus. I also have data available through a data converter on the NMEA2000 but that connects to a USB port on my MacBook Air.

I can see all the devices listed on the devices section of the Cerbo so I know the bus is sharing some data.

I am trying to pull navigation data off the data bus to use in a computer hosted nav software. Also, at some point I would like to use WilhelmSK to display some data when underway.

When I try to configure data connections the system tells me it can not save the file. I am guessing this is still something in the setup that is an issue.

When I look at the data browser, I see all Victron data but no other NMEA2000 data. This leads me to believe something in the connections setup is still not correct.

I hope this adds more clarity.

I had similar issues and was later directed to this section of Victron docs. Have got it working,

I can´t remember properly but I think after connecting my cerbo to NMEA network I didn´t have to add things manually … but maybe you are missing the data connection as you can see in the screenshot (or maybe the connection is disabled)

is your ve.can port configured like this?
do you also see the victron devices in your n2k network (like voltage etc…)
