I can see all of the Victron Devices (the CerboGX and the battery shunts) on the Simrad NSS Network Source List and the CerboGX is connected N2K and I can see all of the connected devices on the CerboGX, but I cannot get the app to show up on the Simrad NSS display. Have worked through the Victron instructions a number of times, but can’t get the app to show, only the devices in the network source list. Have the latest Software for both the Simrad MFDs and the Victron CerboGX. What am I doing wrong.
The CerboGX is connected to the N2K backbone via a VE.Can cable with the fuse removed.
Any advice on what I should do to get the App to display, would be most appreciated.
Thank you Very much Avanlche, confirmation much appreciated. I must have read the Cerbo GX - MFD instructions 10 times, and although i did note both the VE.Can - N2K connection and the also reference to an ethernet connection, I don’t recall reading that both were requried in order to see the app on the MFD. I ordered a RJ45 - Ethernet adaptor last week, thinking that is probably what I needed, so thank you very much for the confirmation. Thank you.
Actually, N2K and Ethernet serve two different and independent purpose for the MFD and Cerbo. The Victron App on the MFD only require Ethernet. N2K provide data exchange that can be used in the data pages or sidebar of the MFD like battery voltage, tank level. The Cerbo will get the GPS position from the N2K if available.
