Node Red + SignalK instable?

I want to use the new Boat Display option and installed 3.6 Large with Node-Red in order to create a Virual Motor Device and feed it with my NMEA 2000 data. I also installed SignalK.

I am using a CerboGX with the NMEA cable and can see the NMEA 2000 data from my VETUS E-drive in SignalK’s data browser. Lastly, I did go to “Manage Pallete” in Node-Red to add: @signalk/node-red-embedded (sadly this is not the latest version, and I am not sure how to install the latest version).

As soon as I add a SignalK subscribe node and add the path to the Motor RPM, and then Publish, the GX becomes unresponsive, and the browser disconnects from Node-Red. I then need to access it via Safe Mode to remove the subscribe node.

Anyone else experiencing this with Node-Red + SignalK?
Anyone have an idea how to troubleshoot, what log files are there, and how do I find these?
And lastly, any idea how to install SignalK 2.18.1 in the palette?
Thanks!

I think I found my issue!

Q6: Can I install the @signalk/node-red-embedded?

No, at least not into the node-red instance which comes as part of Venus OS Large. To @signalk/node-red-embedded, we recommend to use the node-red plugin/instance that can optionally be installed into signalk:

  1. enable Node-RED in the SignalK server, using its dashboard.

  2. disable the Venus OS Node-RED, in GX Device → Settings → Venus OS Large → Node-RED

  3. install the Victron pallette into the Node-RED thats part of SignalK server

Will try again later this week.
