I have just installed new 2 x 300Ah NG batteries (12v) in parallel. They are in a marine install and first charge is off shore power through a Multiplus 3kva.
Last 24 hours the the charger does not appear to have left absorption mode - is this normal?
You need to be quite precise here. The chargers are in external control so will only indicate bulk or absorption, the vharger no longer shows float.
You have to look at the voltage, from earlier posts you have a Lynx NG BMS and Cerbo. To know what stage you are in you need to look at the requested voltage from the BMS, 14.0V for absorption, 13.5V for float. On the Cerbo goto devices/ settings/ batteries/ parameters and this should show the value for CVL, charge voltage limit. The Lynx NG will hold absorption until all battery cells are balanced to around 0.01V. My firdt charge took 5 to 6 hours in absorption.
