Hello all, I have a Victron MultiPlus II of 8000 KVA, 250/100 MPPT, Cerbo GX, BMS 500 NG and 5 KW battery, Dynamic ESS is activated, I observed that my Multiplus and MPPT not go in Float mode when battery is charged but remain in Absorption mode any ideas? I checked all BMS settings and they are according to the new 52 Battery also in VRM BMS is selected as control device.
The chargers do not indicate going in to float because they are in external control from the Lynx NG BMS. The issue is if the voltage is following the BMS requirements. On the Cerbo go to settings>devices>batteries>parameters and that should have a value under CVL, charge voltage limit and make sure the chargers are operating at this value.
I have only simply USER access in VRM, true local IP GUI is not possible to change this params:((( I have CVL set as 54V, CCL to 100 Amp and DCL to 600 V, I assume CVL should be set at 56.4V as per battery manual of charging, or?
The values CCL, DCL and CVL come from the BMS and these can not be altered by the user. These are the maximum voltage and current the BMS will allow.
The Lynx NG BMS either asks for 56.0V for absorption or 54.0V for float, you should not be setting anything yourself. If CVL is 54.0V then the BMS is in float and the chargers should follow this unless DESS asks for anything different.
As your CVL is 54.0V it is in float, but the chargers may sat absorption, just ignore that.
tks, it’s strange why Victron didn’t sync all data and each devise have own state:))
