Hi.
I have a newly installed 30A IP22 in the caravan that is going into Absorption mode after only a few seconds. I installed it 2 days ago and it was working well putting out close to 30 Amps. This problem seems to have started soon after installing software update as prompted.
It happens whether plugged into 240V or generator.
Setup is 2x 120A Lithium batteries in parallel. These are not Victron batteries.
The batteries were discharged to about 65% SOC when I plugged the charger in. This happens when set on the LiPO4 profile but I have also tried a few different settings on the App but no success.
Also have Victron shunt.
Also Victron Solar MPPT connected to the same batteries.
Any advice welcome.
Cheers
Loose wiring, bad fuses, whatever.
Wiring is all new not loose and fuses are good.
The only way to check the wiring is by setting the charger to power supply mode and measurung the voltagedrop from charger to battery on plus and minus.
A manual and visual inspection can only give a first impression.
Voltage drop 0.3v - expected for cable cross section and distance.
Hi Randal,
if you enable advanced settings, then go into expert mode and take some screenshots I’ll take a look and see if I can see anything odd as I use one of these units in my setup.
If you could slso provide the specs for your batteries, in particular the specified Absorbsion charge voltage that would be helpful.

Thanks Les.
Lithium 120A batteries 2 in parallel. Not sure what the absorption voltage is but float is 13.6V I have it set to Lithium auto but unfortunately the van is in the shop at present getting fridge replaced.
Hi Les.
Finally got it back and have experimented. It started working well once I networked the chargers with the shunt. I suspect the 0.3V drop was the problem. I could have set the float voltage manually to 13.8 or 13.9 and I suspect that would have sorted it out but going well at present with the shunt network connected and auto for Lithium. If I have any more problems I will experiment with the manual settings.
Cheers
Randal
