New User Interface

I have tried using the new user interface, but I have gone back to the classic interface because I enjoy:

1. Classic is easier to read
2. Classic has a cleaner, colorful look

If the new UI employed more colorful features, I would have used it for a longer period of time.

I think you share a similar opinion to many users. I, as an installer i have to go with what the end user prefers so have an experience of both. I do love the colours of the older GUI and some find it much easier to understand.

The new GUI has some advantages though.

A few thoughts about the new GUI

I am just in the progress of gradually switching my mind to the new GUI for controlling three Victron systems of different complexity. And as a software engineer myself, I would like to share a few thoughts about the new GUI. Awesome: the speed, especially over a slow remote connection (cannot emphasize that point enough!) the clear and concise look of the “Overview”, the bars and graphs inside the device boxes the “Control panel” - just nice and reduced to exactly the right amount of detail …

IMHO

As a system integrator and a Victron user myself, I fell in love with the new interface as soon as Venus OS 3.5 was released. It’s fast, minimalist, stylish, intuitive, and has a genuinely futuristic feel. On top of that, the system is constantly evolving, with improved menu organisation and an increasing range of customisation options to suit users with different system configurations. Overall, I find it far more convenient and enjoyable to use than the previous interface.
