Hello @carlvogel
Its a big ocean to wade into for sure. We are here to help. However…
No one can help with design directly (as in do one for you) for a number of reasons.
One is we have no idea your loads whether it is a fixed or mobile. Grid not grid or generator onky? Or anything else to do with what you are trying to do. So you would have to be more specific.
Second is it is against the guidelines.
We can give guidance and advice, so if you have a design you share, we can critique it. Even if it is something scribbled on a piece of paper and photo taken.
That being said, all manuals have basic installation recommendations like wiring and fuse sizes for components you are considering using.
The mppt calculator to help with string and pv panel and mppt choices.
There is a useful resource here as well.
And then there is basic videos on the you tube channel.
And Victron professional if you sign up for a free account there is training there
When I started working with Victron four years ago, the first thing I did was read up on a general overview. Once I had a rough idea of which devices and components I wanted to use, I downloaded the manuals. These are available on the Victron website for all devices and system configurations. Being a bit old school, I even printed them out and spent a few weeks reading them. That was a huge help to me back then.
