New multiplus II will not start out in bulk when required. It goes to absorption sometimes but usually to float. I think that it goes to the charging mode that was active when we turned off ac input. The only way we can get it to go into bulk is to switch it to charger only mode and back to charger inverter using the switch on the bottom of the unit.
We have lifeline batteries, a cerbo gx , a smartshunt, gx touch 50 display.
Did you program the Multiplus? I only ask because not all inverters require programming and it wouldn’t be the first time someone overlooked this. Welcome to the community by the way.

Yes I programmed it using the mark3 interface and Victronconnect.
How was it programmed? And what is the voltage of your batteries when the charger is on? I don’t recognize this with my new MPII (remembering it’s last mode), so thats not how it should work. It should measure the voltage of batteries and if below absorption value of MP, then it should bulk again.
WE originally made some changes to tail current, phukert and a few other things. We set everything back to factory settings and it still does not work properly.
Are they AGM or lifepo4?
The ve bus depending on what battery type will wait until 0.4v under float to restart bulk.
Arr you using the ess assistant? Or another method auch as Wind Solar Priority?
WE have AGMs and are not using ESS.
