For over 7 years my MultiPlus 24/5000 was working perfect.
Over last summer I updated it from (if I remember right ) 3.xx through 4.xx to 522
Now, when I turn on the generator it starts either in Absorption or Float although the SOC is low enough.
I see I’m not the only one, reading the topics here and on the web.
Someone posted a workaround by shuttng the MP off and on again.
This works, it will start in Bulk and reacts as it used to.
However this is very unconveniant as the power has to be shut off every time I want to charge by generator…
The configuration of the MP hasn’t changed and as it is working properly after turning on the MP I don’t think this is the problem.
As I see it, this problem is caused by the “new” firmware (correct me if I’m wrong)
If this is true, was this bug also present in 4.xx?
Can I downgrade to firmware 4.xx or even 3.xx?
Or more preferably (as I already monitor all my devices by modbus); is there a write by Modbus protocol that forces the MP to go into Bulk state?
(or perhaps will there be a new firmware that tackles this problem any time soon?)
Thanks
Dirk
