Need clarification of Balmar 90 amp alternator to recharge LiFePO

Hello,

Sorry if this is a repeat. The topics that refer to this are now closed so unable to ask questions.

Currently connecting an external Balmar regulator to a wet starter battery. Have the starter battery connected to the orion 12/12-50. Proper wire size up to 120amp alternator and correct fuse sizes. Is this roughly correct?

Some of the threads have the orion between the alternator and starter, so I became confused.

Are you trying to charge a second battery bank with the Orion. If so then

Alternator charges starter battery
Starter battery goes to the Orion input.
The Orion output goes to the second battery.
