Problems connecting VM3P75CT (used to measure grid) to an original Cerbo model number: BPP900450100 v3.75, using the VE. Can interface.
The MV3P75CT powers up correctly with Green LED status.
Power cycling and resetting of the VM3P75CT carried out, whilst connected/disconnected.
CAN-bus profile set to: VE.Can(250 kbit/s)
Changed out UTP cable, have tried VE-Can port 1 & 2
From troubleshooting even with the MV3P75CT disconnected from the Cerbo, the Bus is still showing Off/Errors
You used the right connectors and added terminating resistors on both sides?
Alternatively, try using Ethernet

Unfortunately my internet router is over 20metres from the solar system hardware. im considering installing an Access Point at the solar system.
That is rather odd behaviour.
I assume you are using a standard, ready-made UTP patch cable.
An alternative is a 1:1 Ethernet connection, which does not require a router.
You configure a static IP address for the LAN port of the Cerbo GX and VM3P75CT and connect both devices directly with a cable
Yes I have been using manufactured UTP cables, (tested using a continuity tester)
I did consider setting a Static IP, but wasn’t sure what to set it to, as the MV3P75CT defaults to DHCP I assumed it wouldn’t work, i try this suggestion thank you

The only thing I can add is that with mine, if the Cerbo is powered up when I connect the grid meter I have to reboot the Cerbo for it to recognise it’s connected.
