Multiplus Temperature Sense Error (title already used, although doesn't exist on a search)

Any idea why, out of nowhere, I’m getting these errors ?

The MP2s aren’t heavily loaded at this moment nor have they been at all today, fans aren’t going, Pylontechs’ temperatures are between 18 and 20 °C.

I have searched on the two Victron community sites and over the web generally, and I have found other people with this error but no mention of a solution. I see there is an option to just disable such alarms but wouldn’t want to do that if it was a genuine problem.

P.S. The thing about “title already used” is what the site said when I tried to post with the title alone as if there was already a thread with the exact same title, then again, a search does not find such a title. So, bizarre.

It is of little use but here is the previous post, popped right up in search.

If you have Lithium batteries, then the Temperature sensor is not needed on the Multiplus, as this was only used for adjusting the charging voltage for lead acid batteries. Best is to remove it completely. If the alarm persists after the cable is removed, then it can be safely disabled.

I don’t have a temperature sense cable as I think the Pylontechs’ BMS senses that and communicates with the Victron gear.

In which case, if the error is coming from the multi, then it can be disabled.
Yes, the temperature data for the battery is in the pylontech data to the Cerbo.

Well it hasn’t done it for a few hours so I’ll leave it for now but good to know I can just disable it if it starts up again.

Did it again this morning so in Device list/ Multiplus/ Alarm setup/ Temperature sense error, I set it to disabled.
