I’ve got 3x 5kVA MP2s configured in 3-phase and connected voltage sense wires from the negative and positive busbars to the master of L1 per the manual (Parallel, split- and three-phase VE.Bus systems [Victron Energy]). I’ve had the system installed for almost a year and the voltage readings from my MP2s have always been incorrect and I’ve had suspicions that the MP2s aren’t actually reading the voltage from the voltage sense port.
Today I decided to do some troubleshooting and disconnected the green voltage sense and temperature sense plug and there was no change to the voltage reading from the MP2 in VenusOS. I’ve crimped ferrules on the wires which plug into the green plug and double checked that the connection is solid by measuring voltage on the screws and it measured 56V which is correct and matches the voltage reading on the SmartShunt (56.02) but the MP2 is reading 56.22 (wildly inaccurate).
When I plug the plug back into my MP2 there is no change to the measured voltage as reported in VenusOS - I’d expect to see a change when the voltage sense pins are connected? Is there some way of dumping a log to check whether the MP2 is actually reading the voltage via the Voltage Sense pins?
