MultiPlus II and Quattro as charger-only units

Hello everyone,

I’m having trouble understanding the charger logic of the MultiPlus II and Quattro when used with a Cerbo GX.

My main PV system consists of MPPT solar charge controllers and Quattros, a Cerbo GX, and a Pytes battery:

I then have a second system consisting of 3x MultiPlus II units and a Quattro (connected to a Cerbo GX via bus and USB), which are configured as chargers only:

No battery is “connected for communication” here; the systems are connected only on the DC side!

In the individual devices, you can set the charger parameters directly using VictronConnect:

How can I set the float voltage and charging current via Node-RED?

Depending on the main system’s battery state of charge or any surplus power on the grid, I want to charge the battery in addition to maintaining the float charge, or fully charge it.

I tried enabling DVCC on the Cerbo GX for the chargers, but that didn’t help. What am I missing?

If you have chargers added via a mk3, you just have to enable dvcc support for them in the gx. They will then follow the charge control of the whole system.

No nodered required.

But I’d like to be able to control the chargers independently of the rest of the system?
