Looking for some troubleshooting ideas. My setup:
5th wheel RV
2 Multiplus II 24/3000/75 in parallel
2 Epoch 240AH batteries
Cerbo GX, Lynx Shunt and Distributer
It seems that after using Power Assist a number of times, the Inverters stop charging. Currently, I’m on 30 amp power and grid current limit is set to 30. Last night, we were trying to cool the RV and the Power Assist (which is currently set to 1.5) come on a number of times. The system would attempt to charge between cycles, but after a while, it just stopped charging. Now when it goes into Power Assist, it just drains the batteries.
I have a small solar panel of 370 Watts (I’m in the process of adding 2kw), and the controller is charging the battery today, but of course, it’s more of a trickle charger.
This morning, I turned off the UPS function and turned on Weak AC and restarted the Inverters. No change.
I noticed this the other day at a different RV site. When we moved, I turned off the Inverters and got to the new site and started up (still on 30 amp) and they immediately started charging. So does using a bunch of Power Assist keep the charger from charging?
