Victron 3-phase MultiPlus-II ESS – short total blackout without any logged error
System installed ~ 3 months ago:
- 3x MultiPlus-II in a 3-phase ESS configuration
- Entire house is connected to AC-Out
- Battery SOC ~67%
- No BMS alarms
- No overload alarms
- No temperature alarms
- No VE.Bus errors
- No entries in VRM alarm log or event log
Issue:
At approximately 10:36, the entire house lost power for a few seconds. Power returned automatically without any manual intervention. No breaker or RCD tripped. A neighbour confirmed there was no utility grid outage at that time.
What I found in the VRM export:
- System was operating normally until 10:34.
- At 10:36:30 the VE.Bus system suddenly switched to:
-
AC Input: “Disconnected”
-
VE.Bus state: “Inverting”
- All AC input currents and powers dropped to 0.
- A few seconds later the system switched to:
-
VE.Bus state: “Passthru”
-
AC Input returned and grid was detected again.
- Throughout the event:
-
VE.Bus error = “No error”
-
No overload
-
No low battery
-
No BMS lost
-
Battery voltage remained around 53 V
-
SOC remained around 67%
Interesting observation:
Around the same time the VE.Bus cluster appears to re-identify the three MultiPlus units (serial numbers show up again in the log), which makes me wonder if there was a short VE.Bus cluster restart/re-sync event.
Has anyone seen a similar behavior where the whole 3‑phase system briefly blacks out but no VE.Bus error is logged?
Attached an export of the situation, starting at 10:34.
Any help would be really appreciated!
