Multiplus II delay AC use till generator is warmed up

I am running a remote Microwave “tower”, no grid available - plain solar.
A few times a year I need generator support, typicaly in Winter in freezing tempertures.
So I need to have the generator warm up before the load comes on
Generator is of course connected to grid input

Is there a setting in the Multiplus that can delay grid usage for say 5 min after grid availabilty is detected?

Thanks
Oskar

Hi. This is possible using Assistants in the Multi. This is what I use for mine…

Set for a 60 sec delay time, and a 300 sec reset when gen shuts down. Adjust your own to suit.
Cooldown time can’t be done this way.

@oskaratk you could install the CerboGx and use the rich features of the generator start and stop function. It has warm up and cool down times user selectable.

I have a GerboGx there anyways - looks like the the warmup/cooldown settings are hiding
Maybe I I don’t see the tree in the forest ?

no joy:

argh - looks like the Multiplus I am working on has only 1 AC input.
The system settings however show :

Multiplus units only have one input. Quattros have two inputs. The generator on input two doesn’t mean anything if the device is a Multiplus.

Do you have the latest CerboGX software? The generator cooldown and warmup provision are relatively late additions in the software. Update the CerboGX software to the latest version and those menus will be there.

I did update, FW v3.54

Also tried setting AC in 1 to “Generator”. Same

Are you running an ESS system? I don’t think those provisions are available if the system is set up as ESS. Also, do you really have loads on the input and the output of your Multiplus? If you have no mains wouldn’t the loads only be on the output?

Without ESS and in a standard setup I think those provisions are included in the menu.

I think, I know what it is.

… the firmware in the multi is too old.

found a note in the manual:

But upgrading the multi remotely - on a station that is in winter accessible by 2 - 3 hours hiking in steep terrain - that is pretty hot
Glad I have a multi as spare, so I can do a dry run
