Can someone please help with the explanation of the generator warm up time.
I was under the understanding that if set it would allow the generator to start when called for (by soc etc) and the quattro would see generator voltage on ac input, synchronise and close ac input relays then after the set warm up time then and only then start drawing current from the generator.
Is that correct, the manual is quite vague on its true function and operation.
I will explain my situation more once someone explains fully the function and operation of the warm up and cool down times.
You can program a time for warmup and cool down at cerbo
In this case, the generator starts, warm up for 300sec without load, connects to the MP for a certain time, disconnects from the MP, cools down the generator for 300sec without load and then stop the genset
The warm-up and cool-down menu allows you to configure the time the generator needs to warm up or cool down before or after operation. This is controlled via relay while the AC input relay is open and the inverter/charger is not connected.
The inverter ‘sees’ the voltage, waits to connect (waits to close its primary relay) for the set time.
It will then connect and start charging if there is enough on the input current limit to allow the loads to be supported and charge to happen.
