The idea to be able to change the ignore AC seting like power and SOC from the quick access. Just like AC input curent.
Set input current to 0 and ac will be ignored.
The ignore AC in CAN be set from the GX menu.
AC power setpoints for ESS can also be set.
You won’t be able to change SOC though. This is normally a function of either the BMS or the smart shunt.
I was thinking someting like the generator setings. Where you give it the Wats or SOC you want it to enable and disable the grid entirely.
It is a neat way to do it if you don’t want to dig into node red.
You wire a relay from the gx to the temp or aux input.
Use ve config and set the temp sensor/aux to drive the primary relay using the programmable relay assistant.
Program or set the gx relay as the generator start stop.and conditions.

Yes. I saw a video of that setup. Im just saying it woud be nice to have it integrated(as an assistant maybe).
You cannot set input current to zero. Power assist has a minimum input current limit.
There is a generator start stop assistant where you can drive the primary relay to connect to grid as if it was a generator.
