Multiplus-II Charging Battery Issue

Hello everyone,

I’m facing the following issue:
My inverter is only charging the batteries from shore power at 150W. I have correctly configured the Multiplus for the right battery type, but strangely it doesn’t charge with full power. Currently, the batteries are at 31.3% state of charge. (Previously, they were unfortunately over-discharged, reaching a cell voltage of 2.74V, which triggered the battery pre-alarm.)

Now I don’t understand why the Multiplus isn’t charging the batteries at its full capacity of 120A.

Unfortunately, I can’t find a comprehensive guide for setting up the entire system (I have already attended a Victron training, but it barely covered the software configuration).
I would really appreciate any help or tips you can offer!

System setup (installed in an RV):

  • Multiplus II 12/3000 (wired with 2x 50mm² cables)
  • Lynx Distributor
  • Lynx Smart BMS
  • 2x 200Ah LiFePO₄ Smart Batteries
  • Cerbo GX
  • Orion XS

Thanks and best regards,
Sven

Use firmware v556, deselect weak power and ups.

Try again, good luck

But ofc it might be your MP is managed by the lynx bms and cerbo ??

  • Firmware v556 for Cerbo GX or Multiplus II?
  • Where can I deselect this? In Venus OS on the Cerbo or in Victron Connect?
  • MP is managed by lynx BMS

Multiplus

In Venus you should be able to deselect the charger management, or, for a first try, just disconnect the MP from cerbo it let it run as stand-alone, go on from there step by step…

In the settings of the MultiPlus via VE.config but “weak AC input” is disabled by default.

Add some screenshots from your settings.
