Any easy way to turn off battery chager on multipluss II 120x2?

When traveling or , boondocking my MultiPlus is fed by an EG4 6000xp connected to 6000w of solar. my problem comes from the battery chagger. even though the batteries are fully charged, the MultiPlus always takes around 1100W to charge the batteries. even when I set it to 9.3 amps. the limit is simply ignored and leg 2 goes full out charging batteries. I have enoug solor to keep 2 AC’s runnig all day if the sun is shining but with the extra 1100w load, I am often stelaling around 600w from my 48v bank.

there are serveral modes on the MultiPlus but all use the charger or just turn off. is there no easy way to either just pass though or turn the battery charger off so it can still assis on big loaads?

I don’t have a Cerbo or Ekrono, but I can get on if they can solve this.

I was also tempted to move to the 48v 8000vs multiplus, but it doesn’t look like it does the leg bonding when I use a dogbone. This would also be expensive, as I need 6000w of solar controllers that currently exist in the 6000xp.

My Multiplus II 48/15kva has a 3 way switch at its base

0 - off

1 - inverter charger

2 - inverter only

Pretty sure mine is charger only, off, and inverted charger. If I am wrong that would fix all my issues.

On your unit will it take one leg and spread it to two if it’s only supplied with one. That’s actually the reason I went with the multiplus 120x2. When using a dog bone a single leg of a split neutral gets put on both legs automatically. This is ideal for an RV situation like I have.

@Guentha You are correct in the switch is on, charger only or off. There are a number of ways to manage it.

From the console in the device list or even easier the red selection. If you do not require the AC charger, you can disable it in the inverter settings. Victronconnect, a smarphone or device and MK3 is also a cheaper option, but once you used an GX device, you will wonder how you lived without it
